Transfer from the Airport in Guatemala City to Antigua

Day 2 Cultural Tour: HISTORIC ANTIGUA – Surprises behind High Walls.
Fully guided cultural walking tour starts at 9 am. A local professional guide reveals the history and secrets that lie hidden behind the walls and ruins (approx. 3 hours , admission fees are NOT included )

Day 3 PACAYA VOLCANO (volcano # 1 )
One of the most exciting trips you can make in Guatemala. It is a fully guided tour to the top of the active volcano PACAYA. Amazing views guaranteed, often with glowing lava flows. (Approx. 8 hours, leaving at 5 am) All transfers and guides, security and entrance fees included

Day 4 AGUA VOLCANO (volcano # 2 )
Fully guided hiking tour to the peak of lofty Aqua, one of Antigua’s most famous landmarks (approx. 08 hours, leaving at 6 am)

Day 5 ACATENANGO VOLCANO (volcano # 3)
A fully guided, physically challenging (not technical) hike to the top of Antigua’s tallest volcano (13100 ft asl) (Approx. 12 hours, leaving at 5 am, all transportation and fees included)

Day 6 Transfer ANTIGUA – PANAJACHEL with a short visit to the archeological site IXIMCHE (a post-classic Mayan site in TECPAN)
Approx. 4 hrs, visit and entrance fee included
Transfer by boat to SANTIAGO ATITLAN (45 minutes)
Overnight stay in Santiago Atitlan at a hotel POSADA SANTIAGO (***)

Day 9 Transfer PANAJACHEL – CHICHI (market days - Thursday and Sunday) – QUETZALTENANGO
Visit to the CHICHI village with its market, church, museum, pascual abaj (mayan altar), and factories de mascaras.
Overnight stay in Quetzaltenango at HOTEL MODELO (***)

Day 10 SANTA MARIA VOLCANO ( volcan # 6 )
Challenging 1 day hike up the SANTA MARIA
(Leaving at 5 am, approx. 8 hours)
Overnight stay in Quetzaltenango at HOTEL MODELO (***)

Day 11 + 12 TWO DAY HIKE TAJUMULCO (volcano # 7) , the tallest volcano in Quetzaltenango and Central America , also one of the most beautiful ones. Doing the TAJUMULCO DOUBLE makes you a volcano KING!
Transfer from XELA (Quetzaltenango) to a roadside town in San Marcos, heading south along a ridge at about 9000 ft asl through open grasslands with scattered pines, then under forest canopy. About 4 hours of hike one arrives at la Olla. From there it is just 45 minutes hike to the top.

Day 12 After the hike TAJUMULCO immediate transfer to ANTIGUA (5 hrs)

Day 13 + 14 TIKAL DOUBLE
Tikal adventure 2 days – 1 night.
We departure at 4:15 from Antigua. At 6:30 a flight from La Aurora Airport in Guatemala City with Tikaljets to Tikal. A guided tour from 9 AM till 1 PM, (Spanish/English speaking guide) , lunch (included) , free time, overnight stay at famous POSADA DE LA SELVA (with swimming pool), breakfast (included) , entrances (1 day) , all transfers. At 4:15 PM flight back from Flores, arriving at 5:00PM in Guatemala City. Transfer to the hotel POSADA BELEN.

Day 15 Shuttle to the airport…
