This three day hike will bring you from Quetzaltenango to San Pedro la Laguna on the lake Atitlán. This is a great experience that provides beautiful views and nature. We walk trough the mountains and pass small indigenous communities on our way. We ship your luggage for free to Panajachel where you can pick them up at our office.

We all work together to carry the luggage and food forthis three day hike, which is why you need a big bag. 50 lbs + 10 is sufficient.
Note: If you have any medical needs,please notify us before the start of the hike because we bring a minimal first-aid kit.

Day 1 This tour starts at 07:00 am with transportation in a 4x4 vehicle across the Cuchumatanes to Yalombojoch. This is a5 hour journey, which means that we will arrive to Yalombojoch at about 12:00 pm or 01:00 pm. From there you will descend into the beautiful valley of the Laguna Brava. After the descend we will reach a river and if it`s dry season the water will be crystal clear and very good to drink. After this we will follow the river towards the Lagoon where we camp. We have dinner by the camp fire.
Day 2 At 07:00amwe return to Yalombojoch. At about 09:00am we arrive in Yalombojoch, from where we depart to Trinidad to start the hike to the Cimarrón. The Hoyo Cimarrón is an enormous opening in the earth with an forest located deep inside. To reach the Cimarrón, you have to walk for about 45 minutes through an amazing and bizarre landscape. After this visit the tour will continue to Quen Santo,which is an hour walk hrough the same landscape. At about 01:00pm you will return to Trinidad and the tour will continue to Nenton. There you will have lunch. After a visit to this town, the tour will return to Huehuetenango and will arrive in the evening.
