Day 28:00 am Early rise to start the tour
9:00 am Visit to Viejo Palmar. After the eruption of the volcan Santiaguito everything of the little village Viejo Palmar was destroyed. Now Viejo Palmar (also called it’s Guatemala´s Pompeii) seems like an inhabitable ghost town. From this lava flooded site you have an amazing view of the active volcano Santiaguito.
10:30 am Tour by local guide at the Olmec ruins of Abaj Talik. (standing stone), one of the oldest archaeological site in Guatemala, A local guide will take you on a tour of this rarely visited site.
12:15 pm Arrival at the farm San Isidro where you have lunch (included).
14:00 pm Guided tour of Finca San Isidro. On this farm you can see coffee plants,rubber-producing trees and sugarcane. Your guide will explain to you the process to make coffee, rubber and sugar, and also will show you the local coffee factory.
17:30 pm Start driving back to Quetzaltenango
19:00 pm Back in Hotel

Day 38:00 am Guided tour visiting indigenous villages. You visit a glass cooperative in Cantel, Don Maximon and the church in Zunil, the hot springs of Fuentes Georginas and the biggest vegetable market from the region in Almolonga
12:00 am Back in Quetzaltenango
14:30 pm Shuttle back to Guatemala City
19:30 pm Arrival in Guatemala City
