Moderate: ultimately you can get close to the lake with a good 4x4 wheel drive and just a walk of about 30 minutes, without a lot of difference in altitude and inclination.

Yonalbaj is a very large and beautiful lake approximately 7 kms long, situated in the middle of farm land and sub-tropical rainforest. The climate is warm and humid and the turquoise water is also warm and inviting. This area is still quite remote and undiscovered as a tourist destination.

Recommended:

Adventurous spirit / comfortable clothing / hiking boots for muddy roads / raincoat / hat / bug repellent / water and food (there is no food for sale at the lake), bathing suit and sun cream.
