KAYAKING
This kayak tour is a great opportunity if you want to explore Retalhuleu in a different way. The tour will take for about 2 ½ hours where you will kayak through the beautiful natural surroundings of the natural reserve Manglar del Manchon Guamuchal.
Included : Private transport to the natural reserve Manchon Guamuchal, with a maximum of 8 persons, kayaks for 2 persons, lifeboat vest and luch box.

There are a lot of tours that you can do, depend on your physical capacity. You can do this tour during June until October in the morning. The following options are possible:
Colomba-Retalhuleu
An descent, exciting tour through the coffee plantages
We will go through Takalik Abaj an archaeological site. If you want we can also bring a visit at this site (entrance not included) Asintal municipio de Retalhuleu and a ´Nuevo San Carlos Retalhuleu. The distance of this mountain bike tour is 20 km approximately.
Takalik Abaj-Colomba-Retalhuleu
We will start at Takalik Abaj an archaeological site. If you want we can also bring a visit at this site (entrance not included) Colomba Costa Cuca Asintal municipio de Retalhuleu and a ´Nuevo San Carlos Retalhuleu. The distance of this mountain bike tour is 35 km approximately.
Retalhuleu-Champerico
One of the best tours. The distance of this mountain bike tour is 55 km approximately.
A tour at the railroad of Retalhuleu and Puerto Champericco. We will go to Caballo Blanco, Jesus la Bomba where we will go through some property´s . We will end the tour at playa Champericco. You can go back with private transport or chickenbus. Ask for the ossibilitie

Near El Asintal, Retalhuleu we will visit Takalik Abaj (standing stone), one the oldest archaeological site in Guatemala, where once the Olmecs and Maya lived and mingled. Maya styles stela 5 bears the long count date of 125 AD while a pure Olmec style were-jaguar is carves on a nearby boulder. Recent excavations have uncovered temples, ceremonial platforms, wood carvings and ceramic plus large Olmec heads. You can also see the artefacts found on the site and walk on the beautiful grounds with more than 200 species of typical plants in the area. The tour takes about 3.5 hours. There is also the possibility to do the tour in the night. Included : local guide, entrance fees, a head-lamp and dinner.
This tour will take about 4 hours. We will visit Finca Patrocinio (25 hectares) of interesting areas. You can enjoy the flora and fauna, but you can also visit the area where you can see how people make the best coffee.
Finca Patrocinio is one of the best examples with a diversity of products as coffee, flora, fauna, exotic flowers, cacao and a natural forest.

On the plantation we will have a tour showing the different products and statues you will encounter on the Finca. You will see that much processing and human labour is required before coffee berries and its seeds can be processed into the roasted coffee. The roasting process has a great degree of influence on the taste of the final product. After this, the tour continues with a visit at the Nature Reserve ´La Montaña´. Here you can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and bring a visit at the Mirador.
