“Family and Green Belly Avocado Plantations” is very happy to open the first Avocado Tour in Guatemala! They have been in the avocado business for over 16 years and have decided to open their farm to the public. They provide a unique experience teaching you all there is to know about this incredible fruit, from its cultivation at the plantation to the preparation of guacamole and other dishes. By visiting the farm, you will learn about the specific history, cultivation and distribution of the “avocado hass” at the plantation. We begin with a walk through the nursery, then we will see the baby avocado trees that grew out of the nursery, and witness its transplantation onto the plantation. We will finish our tour with an avocado tasting and you will learn how to prepare your own guacamole. The tour ends with 15 minutes free time, which you can enjoy in their cafe or in the garden and around the farm. A complementary smoothie is included!
