  • Your tour starts on an infamous chicken bus ride to the Museo de Tejido. You will learn about Guatemalan textiles, their history, importance and how they are made.

Visit a social enterprise:

  • Manos de Maya is a Women’s sewing cooperative. Employment opportunities for a women in pueblos like San Antonio are very limited, and this organization provides the women sustainable income. Come meet the sewing ladies and see their line of products, all made from up-cycled Guatemalan textiles.

Explore San Antonio:

  • Our guided walking tour (about a mile) is led by high school students working to improve their English. See the pueblo of San Antonio, meet some local people, and learn about industry and daily living.
