Formed on limestone, these lagoons constitute a geological curiosity because their characteristics of color and depth vary throughout the year. The first lagoon serves as a source of water for nearby communities and therefore it is forbidden to swim in it; however, the more adventurous can enjoy a ride in canoe or raft in its beautiful waters.

This " hike " is relatively easy and takes between 30 and 45 minutes real walking after a 30 minutes ride from San Pedro la laguna . The views from the top of the nose of the Mayan face are just amazing when the sun comes up ... be prepared anyway in rain season for some mud on the path because that can make it slippery . You will walk up slowly through cornfields and forest . Just enjoy during about 1 hour the views ... if you have a dron , this is the moment to take it with you !
