Formed on limestone, these lagoons constitute a geological curiosity because their characteristics of color and depth vary throughout the year. Pacaya rises to an elevation of 2,552 meters and is by far the most frequently climbed volcano in Guatemala. The volcano is one of the easier volcanoes to climb and also gives you the unique opportunity to climb an active volcano!
